A member of the Notre Dame family lost his daughter to pediatric brain cancer, which tragically claims more lives of American children than any other disease. He and his wife founded the Violet Foundation for Pediatric Brain Cancer to support families and fund research in hopes of better treatments for our kids in the future.

In its almost three years in operation, Violet Foundation has already made some major impacts. In coordination with Chadtough Defeat DIPG Foundation, they currently fund 12 research projects around the world that hope to result in better outcomes for the children with brain cancer. They have also provided small grants to over 150 families across the country who have experienced financial difficulties as a result of missing work while they take care of their son or daughter battling a brain tumor. Violet Foundation is also volunteer-run, so 100% of funds raised go toward their grant recipients.

This page is dedicated to those in the Notre Dame network, who can do amazing things together. Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet our goal for the Violet Effect fundraiser, held in May in honor of brain tumor awareness month. Thank you for supporting, and please share with others in the ND network to see what we can collectively do!
