In February 2022, we lost our niece Violet to Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, just 3 months after her diagnosis with this fatal brain tumor. She had the sweetest smile and her giggles were infectious -- spending time around her was an instant mood boost, her personal Violet Effect. May is Brain Tumor Awareness month, and we want to invite you to join us in raising awareness of Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, or DIPG.

We are so proud of the foundation in Violet's name, which takes on the long-term challenge of funding research for DIPG and the very real and present current challenge for families to meet their financial need during treatment for pediatric brain tumors.

Just a small donation to Violet Foundation for Pediatric Brain Cancer will go a long way. In its 18 months of existence, Violet Foundation has already made a sizable impact, funding eight research projects and providing financial aid to over 100 families experiencing a cash crunch while their child is being treated. This family support has come just at the right time in many cases, preventing eviction, allowing families to travel to clinical trials, and purchase medical equipment needed for their child's changing capabilities. To learn more about their work, please visit www.violet-foundation.org.

By spreading awareness and raising funds, our Violet Effect is a version of the butterfly effect, where small actions can lead to major good for these families. Thank you for considering my Violet Effect campaign!
